Late Drop Deadline. The Fall 2013 Late Drop Deadline is November 8, 2013. If you are considering withdrawing from a course it is important to talk to your instructor or GSI about how you are doing in the class. It would also be a good idea to talk to your Academic Advisor to consider all of your options before you make a decision. If you decide to drop a course you must fill out a Late Drop Form and make sure you submit it no later than 4:00 p.m. November 8, 2013. The Late Drop Form is also available online.

Registration for Winter 2014
Registration for Winter 2014 will take place between Monday, November 25, 2013 and Monday, December 11, 2013. For most of you, this will be the first time that you are registering for classes on your own. If you would like some assistance with the Backpacking and Registration process, we will be providing a series of workshops where you will be able to ask questions and get advice. These workshops are on a drop-in basis and you don’t need an appointment.
**As you think about classes for next semester, you might want to look at this document that has a list of the Prerequisites for all of the LSA majors.
ACADEMIC ADVISING APPOINTMENTS:
The Academic Advising Office (1255 Angell Hall) gets very busy this time of year. We very much encourage you to plan ahead and make an advising appointment – but don’t do it too soon. We suggest that First Year Students schedule an appointment during the weeks of Dec 2- Dec 9, 2013. You can schedule an appointment by calling (734) 764-0332.
Online Course Guide for Winter 2014. The Winter 2014 Online Course Guide goes live on Friday, November 1, 2013. The main advantage of the Online Course Guide is that it has detailed descriptions of classes and in some cases lists course assignments and required readings. After the Online Course Guide is released, start browsing for courses that you are interested in.
Backpack and Registration for Winter 2014.
Beginning on November 13, 2013 you can go into Wolverine Access and start backpacking classes you are interested in taking.
Registration for Winter 2014 will begin on November 25 and end on December 11, 2013.
Note: Registration Appointment Times are issued according to the number of credits you have completed towards graduation. Students are assigned a range of dates based on the number of credits they have, but within that range of dates, times are generated randomly. Also your Registration Appointment Time is not an individual meeting with your Academic Advisor.
Walk-In Advising. The Academic Advising Office will have a limited number of Walk-In Advising Hours. Walk-In Advising will be available Monday, November 18 through Tuesday, December 11. Call (734) 764-0332 for more information.
WOLVERINE ACCESS/REGISTRATION TUTORIALS:

These tutorials give you a quick overview of how to register for a class, how to swap, how to drop, how modify a class from graded to pass/fail, how to use an override, how to find mini-courses, how to backpack, and how to search for classes using the LSA Online Course Guide.
